
Stephen Michael Cronin, 63, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, in Boston, surrounded by loved ones. Born on December 29, 1963, in Boston, Stephen was the eldest of six siblings and a cherished member of his family.
Stephen proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during his youth. His time in service was a source of great pride for him, and he carried that honor throughout his life. After his military service, Stephen worked hard and lived life to the fullest, embracing every moment with enthusiasm and joy.
Stephen had a deep love for music, dancing, and entertaining. Known for donning a suit and tie with matching shades, he would light up any room with his energy and charm. Whether cutting a rug or leading a sing-along, Stephen’s presence brought joy to those around him. He also delighted many with his TikTok antics, showcasing his playful spirit and ability to connect with others.
A kind-hearted and gentle soul, Stephen was admired by many and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was soft-spoken yet full of life. Even in his final days, he worried more about those he was leaving behind than about himself.
Stephen is survived by his brothers Robert Cronin of Monroe, Connecticut; Andrew Cronin of Braintree, Massachusetts; James Cronin of Brookfield, Connecticut; and his sisters Elizabeth Roche and her husband Sean of Somerville, Massachusetts; and Kathryn Lane and her husband Thomas of Salem, New Hampshire. He also leaves behind nieces Keira, Salem, and Scarlett; nephews Kyle, Nolan, Brady, Luke, James, and Jaxon; as well as countless friends who will forever cherish his memory. Stephen was predeceased by his parents, Russell Cronin and Diane Cronin.
While Stephen’s passing deeply saddens us all, we are grateful for the time we shared with him. To the moments that passed and the memories created together—those we will toast to forever. Though apart now in this life, Stephen will remain in our hearts always.
