Obituary




Teresa Frances (Canfield) Fahey passed away peacefully at Melrose/Wakefield Hospital on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026. She would have been 92 years old on April 29th.

Raised in Medford, MA, Teresa was the daughter of the late William and Frances Canfield. For over 60 years, Teresa was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Fahey who passed away in 2021. She was a devoted sister to Patricia (Canfield) Crocker and her husband, George William Crocker. She was a loving mother and mother-in-law to her four children, Michael Fahey and his wife, Civita, MaryKate Little and her husband Steven, Patrick Fahey (Medford Police Officer who passed away in 2007) and his wife Linda, and William Fahey and his wife, Chris. Teresa was blessed to have three grandchildren, Chrysten Reinold and her husband Jason, Cameron Fahey and his fiancé Erin Morrissey, and Jacob Little and his partner, Teresa Feijoo. She also has two great-grandchildren, Shea and Brody Reinold.

Teresa was a devoted and loving wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Teresa was the hub of her family, making everything run smoothly including always ensuring that there were freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for everyone who stopped by. She enjoyed preparing delicious meals and baked goods and sharing her time with her family and friends. Teresa had many talents including being an excellent artist, quilter, seamstress, ceramic pottery, and many other passions. She was a regular volunteer at St. Francis Church in Medford and also volunteered as part of the City of Medford election poll team at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, eventually becoming the Election Poll Warden there. She also loved watching her grandchildren (Chrysten, Cameron, and Jacob) when they were smaller and always enjoyed visits from her furry grandchildren (Gizmo and Cairo).

The services will be followed by a celebration of life at the Great American Beer Hall at 142 Mystic Ave, Medford, MA. Friends and family are welcome to visit us there.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday, April 9th from 10 - Noon, with a special prayer service held at Noon. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Theresa’s name to the Alzheimer's Association, 320 Nevada St, Ste 201, Newtonville, MA, 02460.
