Eileen Patricia McKendry, 87, of Boston, MA, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband, William McKendry as well as her brother Thomas Howley (Anne), formerly of Braintree, MA, her sister Katherine Whalen (Ralph), formerly of Abington, MA, and her twin sister Mary LaPoint (William), formerly of Scituate, MA and Duxbury, MA and Naples, FL. She is survived by her nephew, Thomas Whalen of Wakefield, MA, her nephew, William LaPoint (Kathleen) of Cotuit, MA and Boca Grande, FL, and her niece Eileen Burgess (Charles) of Kingston, MA. She is also survived by many great (and great great) nieces and nephews. Eileen worked for the bulk of her career in the State House in the House Counsel’s office. She was an active participant in the AA program and about to celebrate 50 years of continuous sobriety. She had a tremendous impact on many people’s lives and will be missed by her friends and relatives. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
