Obituary



Donald J. Randall passed away peacefully at Care Dimensions Hospice of Lincoln on March 22nd. He was 72. Raised in Somerville, Don was the son of the late Chaney W. and Louise L. (Sbrogna) Randall.

Don worked throughout his life as a chef. He cooked at several restaurants in Cambridge throughout his career. He had a great following wherever he went and when he worked in a cafeteria setting later in his career; he still drew people in because of his special touch. He was also a solid athlete in his youth, playing baseball throughout his school years. He remained a dedicated fan to all of Boston’s teams.

Don loved music all of his life, from the Beatles through and beyond the classic rock era. He was an active performer at the height of Boston’s rock scene. He played harmonica with the band The Boize . They were featured on the live album “Live at the Rat” which was recorded in 1976 at the iconic club, The Rathskellar, in Kenmore Square.

Donald is survived by his loving brother Robert and his wife Adriana. He was a devoted uncle to Robert, Joseph, Matthew and Isabel. He also leaves his dear cousins Thomas, Mary, Charles, Paul, Johnny, Anna, Jeanna, David, Joseph, Christopher and Lisa.

A graveside service will be conducted at 9:30 AM on Saturday, April 18 at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake Street, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Please gather at the main gate.
