Francis L. Ciaburri, age 87, passed away on Monday, March 30th, at Sunrise of Lynnfield. Born and raised in Everett, he was the son of the late Leonard and Camella (Ricci) Ciaburri. Francis proudly served in the 101st Airborne Division, and after returning to civilian life worked for over 35 years at Delta Airlines. He lived for many years in Medford before moving to Stoneham around 1990. Francis loved country line dancing and shooting pool with friends, but most of all spending time with family.
Francis was the beloved husband of Elaine (Grava) Ciaburri, and the devoted father of Camille Pipitone and her husband John, Sharon Ciaburri-Viveiros and her husband Anthony, and Steven Ciaburri. He was the loving grandfather of Darren Pipitone and his husband Martin, Jenna Pipitone, Alana Ferrara and her husband Michael, Christina Paris and her husband Christopher, and Stephanie Ciaburri. Francis was the loving great grandfather of Colton Pipitone, Isabelle and Christian Ferrara, and Alexis, Ava, Christopher Jr. and Aubrey Paris. He was the dear brother of Carol Need, and the late Terry Lehane and Leonard Ciaburri, Jr. Francis is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, April 6th from 4 to 7 PM, and again on Tuesday, April 7th at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
