John Lee Vernon Day, 60, of Rochelle, Georgia, was found on September 8, 2006 in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 3 PM, Sunday, September 17 at Waterloo Cemetery, with Rev. Terrell Roberts officiating.
Mr. Day was born August 1, 1946, in Tifton, to Virdell Nasworthy Day and the late John L.V. “Buddy” Day. He lived in Irwin and Tift Counties most of his life. Mr. Day was a former welder for Tifton Machine Shop and he farmed for Mark Clark. He was of the Holiness Baptist faith.
He is survived by two daughters: Regina Miller of Tifton and Luciana Coleman of Florida; 1 granddaughter; Mother: Virdell Nasworthy Day of Rochelle; Brothers & Sisters: Fred Day of Fitzgerald, George Day of Bainbridge and Raymond Day of Colquitt; Frances Dailey of Perry, Grace Crosby of Cordelle, Eva Mae May and Jody Day, both of Donaldsonville, Barbara Hancock of Colquitt, Brenda Coleman, Geri Fountain, and Teresa Day, all of Fitzgerald. He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Day.
