It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lotmax Paraison, who fell asleep in death on March 16, 2026, at the age of 66, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer`s disease. Lomax’s life was a beautiful reflection of kindness, humility, and unwavering faith. He touched countless lives, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and quiet strength that will never be forgotten.
Lotmax was born in Haiti on March 19, 1959. At just five years old, he moved to the United States with his family, settling in West Medford, Massachusetts, where he was raised alongside his parents and brothers. He attended St. Raphael School, Hobbs Junior High, and proudly graduated from Medford High School with the Class of 1978. He later pursued his passion for learning by studying Computer Science at Bunker Hill Community College and continuing his education in South Carolina. At the age of 18, Lotmax proudly became a United States citizen.
Professionally, Lotmax built a meaningful career as a software engineer, contributing his talents to respected institutions including MIT, Digital, and BMC. Yet, it was in his later years, working within the Medford High School community, where his heart truly shined. There, he became much more than a staff member—he was a mentor, a steady presence, and a source of encouragement to both students and faculty. He was deeply loved and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Above all, Lotmax was a man of deep faith. His love for the Bible and its principles guided every aspect of his life. On January 9, 1977, he was baptized as one of Jehovah`s Witnesses. He went on to serve faithfully as an Elder in both the Medford and Lexington congregations, where he was known for his gentle spirit, wisdom, and genuine care for others. His greatest joy was helping others draw closer to Jehovah.
At the very center of Lomax’s life was his family, whom he cherished deeply. He shared 43 loving years of marriage with his devoted wife, Dena. He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, both nurses, Bianca and Gabrielle Paraison, and deeply adoring grandfather to his beloved granddaughter, Gianna, who was truly the apple of his eye.
Lotmax is also survived by his brother Tyler Gates; his sister in law Phaedra Paraison; his brother and sister in law Wayne and Gilda Cacciola; his sister in law Mary Ellen Lazzara; his brother and sister in law James and Annette Byers; his brother and sister in law Steve Lazzara and Barbara Lazzara; his nieces and nephews, Alex and Lauren Paraison, Samantha, Danielle, and Jessica Cacciola, Brittany and Brett Dawson, Anthony and Ryan Alves, Domenic and Stefano Lazzara, Anthony and Ryan Alves and his great-nieces and nephews, Dallas, Dawson, Charlotte, Wesley and Brooklyn along with many dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Georgette and Hermann Paraison, and his brother, Hermann Paraison II.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in the hope of seeing Lotmax again, and in knowing that his love, faith, and legacy will continue to live on in all who knew him.
