Hegarty, Elizabeth of Wellesley, MA, age 87, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026.
Betty is survived by her sister, Margaret Hegarty of Cambridge, MA; and her brother, John Hegarty, of West Barnstable, MA. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.
Betty is predeceased by her parents, Joseph T. Hegarty and Ann M. Hegarty (McHugh); her sisters, Carol Breen and Mary White; and her two brothers, Joseph Hegarty Jr. and Robert Hegarty.
Visitation at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. Wellesley on Saturday, April 11, from 9:30-11am followed by a prayer service at 11am. Interment immediately following in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
