Patricia Kaupp, formerly Llewellyn, (nee Callanan Noonan), was born in South Boston, the youngest of twelve children. She was the beloved daughter of John and Mary Callanan. Patricia attended Gate of Heaven Catholic School and South Boston High, and was a junior lifeguard. As the youngest, she was doted on by her siblings and family, also her nieces—some older than she—who loved taking her out in her stroller. Her favorite places included Castle Island and the Swan Boats. But most of all, she treasured simply being with her family; sharing tea with her parents and siblings, and trips into town with her sisters to have their hair done.
She met and married her devoted husband, John Llewellyn, the father of her nine children, who predeceased her after 28 years of marriage. Patricia had a deep love for children and lit up in the presence of her own and her grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by her family.
She was the extremely proud mother of John Llewellyn of Winthrop; the late Margaret “Peggy” Hood and her late husband Richard Hood of Florida; Patricia Medeiros and her late husband J.R. Medeiros of Attleboro; the late Deborah Urban and late husband Bill Urban of Weymouth; Donna Erickson of Weymouth; Robert Llewellyn of Weymouth; Diane and husband Fred Shock of Braintree; the late James Llewellyn of South Boston; and late Paul Llewellyn of Weymouth. Devoted son in law Roy Erickson of Westwood.
Patricia was the loving wife of 43 years to Kenneth Kaupp, who preceded her in death six months prior. Deeply devoted to one another, even through the health challenges of their final days.
She was a loving grandmother of 17, great-grandmother of 16, and great-great-grandmother of 3, as well as a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews who were dear to her.
Patricia was known for her beauty and style. She had a lovely singing voice, enjoyed Bingo games and cheering on the Red Sox. Hosting and attending family gatherings were favorite pastime. Her family craved her delicious meatballs.
