Southampton – Edward “Ted” Ziemba, age 59, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026. Ted was born on Oct. 10, 1966, in Springfield, to the late Joseph A. Ziemba and Carolyn Daley Ziemba. A devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and adored brother. Ted is survived by his mom, Carolyn (Daley) Ziemba; his daughter, Megan Canavan, granddaughters, Natalie and Adaline, his step son and friend, Matthew Jones, his siblings and their spouses: Joseph and Diane Ziemba, Dave and Deb Ziemba, Pam and Gary Fusco and Cathy and Tony Ruelli and his many nieces and nephews. Ted was predeceased by his beloved wife Susan R. Bader who passed away in 2025, whose unwavering love and strength changed his life. She taught him the true meaning of love and commitment; a lesson that served him well while helping her through her battle with cancer. Ted worked for the family Tax Service in Chicopee from the time he was in high school, he also worked construction, roofing and other jobs during the summer months. He enjoyed sarcasm, sunny days, a round of golf and a good cold beer. He also enjoyed chasing around his grandchildren and spending time with his family. Ted’s legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the lives he touched simply being himself. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Calling hours will be held on Wed., April 1, 2026 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee, and on the morning of the funeral, Thurs., April 2, 2026 from 10 – 11 AM at the funeral home. A Prayer Service will take place at 11 Am on Thursday, followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Parker St, Springfield.
