
Paul Reczek, 78, of Kingston, New Hampshire, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Winthrop, Massachusetts, Paul was the son of the late Walter A. Reczek, Sr. and Mary E. (Fielding) Reczek.
Paul is survived by the love of his life, Ruth “Ruthie” Reczek, his devoted wife of 51 years, with whom he shared a remarkable 60 years together. He leaves behind his children – Paul J. “P.J.” Reczek, Laura Dhima, and Amy Reczek, daughter-in-law Caitlin Reczek and son-in-law Elvis Dhima, and his six cherished grandchildren: Kennedy, Reagan, Ella, Michael, Amelia, and Cooper. He was predeceased by his oldest brother Walter and is survived by brothers Robert and Gerard Reczek.
A lifelong man of service, Paul earned the rank of Eagle Scout, proudly served in the U.S. Navy Reserves in London, England and as a police officer in Winthrop, Massachusetts. He was also a former president of The New Hampshire League of Investigators. A lifelong learner, he earned an Associate of Science in Law Enforcement from North Shore Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University, and a Master’s in Education from Antioch University. He founded Excalibur Security Limited and later retired as National Account Manager for Allied Barton Security Services in 2012.
Paul was happiest at home sharing his homecooked meals and telling stories with his family, on his tractor, golfing, and working in his garage. He and Ruthie made Kingston their home in 1982, raising their three children in a warm, welcoming home filled with family and friends. The family cherished time at Sunset Lake in Hampstead, NH, and Jackson Falls in the White Mountains.
Paul was a devoted and loyal husband, father, Papa, brother, and friend. Paul’s presence, charisma, laughter, and strength brought comfort and joy to all who knew him. His spirit lives on in the family he built, the home he cherished, and the love that continues to surround them.
After cremation, calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 9am to 12pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A Catholic Prayer Service will be held at 9:30am and Military Honors will be at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
