Obituary



James “Jamie” Candelino passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2026 after a long battle with melanoma. He was 62. Raised in Medford, Jamie was the devoted son of Gemma (DiIeso) Candelino and the late Henry J. Candelino.

Jamie grew up in house and neighborhood full of love and friendship. He loved hockey all of his life and enjoyed playing varsity hockey at Medford High School in an era of heightened competitiveness and great success on the team. Jamie was a devoted single parent who raised his son throughout his life and showed up every day with love, commitment and pride. And with the help of his family, Jamie provided a strong steady foundation for his son’s life.

Jamie was a loving father to his son Frankie. He was a devoted son to Gemma (DiIeso) and the late Henry J. Candelino. He was a dear brother to Camille Candelino, Henry Candelino and the late Robert Candelino.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend memorial visiting hours on Thursday, April 2nd from 4 - 7 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. On Saturday, April 25, 2026 a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Noon in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St, Winchester.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Jamie’s memory by making a contribution in his name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
