Obituary

Carmen A. Guerrios passed away on Wednesday March 25th surrounded by the love of her family. Carmen was the beloved wife of Francisco Guerrios, who passed away 13 years ago. Together they built a family centered on faith, love, and service to others. She is survived by her daughter, Carmen Sonia Guerrios-Doherty, and her husband, Jed Doherty. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Chris Doherty and his wife, Aliza Doherty, and Alejandra Doherty and her husband Max Montalto. Carmen is also survived by her two sons, Francis Guerrios and Danny Guerrios. Carmen dedicated much of her life to serving the Church. From Puerto Rico, to New York, and later in Boston, she devoted herself to her faith and worked closely with many priests, bishops, cardinals, and deacons over the years. Her commitment to the Church and her strong faith were a guiding force throughout her life. In addition to her work with the Church, Carmen devoted herself to caring for others through her healthcare career. She worked at St. Margaret’s Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit and later spent many years working at the South End Clinic, where she continued to make a difference in the lives of patients and families. Carmen will be remembered for her compassion, dedication, faith, and love for her family. She touched countless lives through her kindness, her work, and her devotion to helping others. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. All services will be held at Holy Family Parish 24 Hartford St Dorchester, MA 02125. Her wake at the church will be held on Friday, April 10, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Funeral Mass at the church will take place on Saturday, April 11, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery
