Obituary

After a long and difficult journey, Jill Theresa Kloppenburg, who had been missing since January 2025, was found and returned to her family for a final farewell on March 17, 2026.

Born in Lowell, MA on January 17, 1977, she was the daughter of the late Cheryl Doherty and the late Louis Kloppenburg. Survivors include her sons Ashton Clarke and Ayden Kloppenburg, sister Tara Kloppenburg, nephews Damien, Tyler and Zachary Deschenes as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jill attended schools and youth groups in Bedford and Tewksbury, MA, where she formed many friendships that lasted throughout her life. She loved spending time at the beach with friends, the quiet comfort of writing, shopping, and expressing her unique sense of style—especially through her accessories. Her sweet nature, outgoing personality, gift of gab, and wild sense of humor allowed her to connect with anyone she met.

Jill’s life was deeply impacted by the disease of addiction, a struggle she fought with more strength and determination than most ever knew. Even through her challenges, her bright spirit continued to shine. The unwavering efforts of those to find her speak volumes about the kind of person she was—loyal, loved, and unforgettable. Special thanks go out to all who worked so tirelessly on her behalf.

Calling hours are Saturday, April 4th, from 10 am to 12pm at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. Services will conclude with interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Bridge Club of Greater Lowell, a beacon of hope and support for individuals in recovery.
