Jill Howard, 64, passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, on March 27, 2026 at her home in Noblesville,IN.
She was born on December 27, 1961 in Muncie, IN the daughter of the late Thomas and Doris (Bowles) Gilland. She worked in hotel management for many years, retiring to take on her most "treasured job," that of being a Gaugie (grandma) and caring for her two beloved grandchildren.
Jill enjoyed traveling, arts and crafts, and was an outstanding cook and baker. She enjoyed sharing these talents with her family, including making birthday cakes and amazing birthday decorations. She was also the most proud of her amazing daughter, Victoria.
She is survived by her mother, Doris Gilland; her daughter, Victoria (Jason) Howard; her grandchildren Luke and Lainey; her siblings Rhonda (John) Bronnenberg and Thomas (Kathi) Gilland Jr.; several nieces and nephews including Nikki (Chris) Ballenger and Olivia; and her beloved cat "Rory".
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Gilland, and her husband, Randall Howard.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 4:00 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Larry Waters. Visitation with the family will be from 2-4 pm also on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society in Jill's memory.
