John David McClure, 58, passed away on January 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 16, 1967 in Nuremberg, Germany, to the late Normand L. McClure and Margaret A. Ackley. john was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Boyce Claude McClure and Goldie Dove North; his Maternal grandparents, Marshall Shelton Ackley and Cecile Yvonne Plouf along with many Aunts and Uncles and his Cousin Scott Henry McClure. He is also predeceased by his brother-in-law, Eric Lucio. John was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School, Class of 1986. He served in the United States Army like his dad did in the 1960's. He worked for the Holyoke Newspaper close to 40 years until he passed away. He is survived by a brother, Steven McClure of Chicopee; two Step Siblings, William (Pula) Deitz and Beth Lucio of Arkansas; two Step Nieces and Nephews, Hayley Deitz and Hayden Deitz of Arkansas; also survived by his Aunt Jeanne C. Robitaille of Chicopee, Aunt Linda and Uncle Joe Hanna, Aunt Debbie and Uncle Elwood Whitlock of West Virginia, Aunt Brenda Floyd of North Carolina, Aunt Val Haberland of Idaho, Uncle Dale and Samantha McClure and Uncle Dale and Samantha McClure and Uncle Junior Loudeinulh of West Virginia plus he is survived by many Cousins. John's infections smile and witty sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. His family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Baystate Hospital Cardiac Care Unit for their compassionate care. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
