
Louise (Morris) Donovan, age 94, a longtime resident of Tewksbury, recently of Methuen, a lifelong communicant of St. William’s Church, passed away at her home in the care of her family and hospice one day after her 94th birthday, Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
She was the beloved wife of former Tewksbury Firefighter, Frederick Donovan, who passed away February 4, 1979.
Born in Lowell on March 24, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Leo F. Morris and the late Helen Louise (Duffy) Morris.
Louise was raised in Tewksbury, attended Tewksbury Public Schools and graduated from Lowell High School in 1950.
Prior to retiring, she worked as a licensed practical nurse (L.P.N.) at Tewksbury Hospital for 32 years.
She is the mother of retired Wilmington Fire Department Deputy Chief, Gary Donovan and his wife Gail, of Wilmington, Patty Comeau and her late husband Jack, of Methuen, former Tewksbury Firefighter, the late Daniel Donovan and his surviving wife Robin, of Dracut, Dorothea Johnson and her husband Kevin, of Tewksbury, and Laurie Roberts and her husband Douglas, of Lyndonville, VT. She leaves thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Louise was the sister of the late Leo Morris, Virginia Demers, retired Tewksbury Fire Chief, James Morris, Joan Bradanick and Robert Morris.
Calling hours are Tuesday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Route 38, Tewksbury. Services will conclude with interment at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury.
