Sharon Alana Adams (née Ladd) passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Frank, two wonderful children, Jennifer (Chris) and Matthew (Hayley), and her beloved grandchildren, Wesley and Dylan.
She was born in Pomona, California, to Allen and Minnie Ladd and raised in Riverside along with her brother, Mike. Sharon graduated from UCLA and later earned her teaching credentials at UCR. In 1981, she moved to Mississippi, where she lovingly raised her two children. She later returned to the workforce as a dedicated paralegal and retired from the Social Security Administration in 2012.
After retirement, Sharon returned to California to be closer to family. She devoted ten years volunteering at the Bargain Box in Ventura, where she formed many lasting friendships.
Sharon had an adventurous spirit and a passion for travel, enjoying several river cruises and European land tours, as well as many cherished trips to the Hawaiian Islands.
Sharon will be remembered for her thoughtful book recommendations, delicious baked goods, and joyful embrace of life’s simple pleasures.
What Sharon loved the most was spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed being Nana to her grandsons. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please hug your loved ones tightly and give generously to a charity of your choice.
We especially want to thank all of our neighbors for their love, support and prayers. A celebration of life will occur at a future date.
