
Lena (Tercero) Mosewick, 77, a longtime resident of Tewksbury, formerly of Revere and Dorchester, passed away peacefully at home in the care of her family and hospice on March 18, 2026.
Lena was the dear wife of James F. Mosewick, who predeceased her November 27, 2022.
Born in Managua, Nicaragua on February 5, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Gilberto Tercero and the late Soledad (Hoyos) Tercero.
She was raised in Nicaragua and attended college in Panama City. In 1971, she came to the United States and settled in Revere where she began raising her family.
Through the years Lena worked in manufacturing before owning and operating Tewksbury Driving School. Also, she was a dedicated bus driver for Tewksbury Transit for many years.
She is survived by four children, Raymond G. McDonald and his wife Kendra of Holly Springs, NC, Carolyn McCaigue of Methuen, MA, Lisa M. Ameigh and her husband Conor of Shutesbury, MA, and Mary A. Mosewick and her husband Marshall Jack of Tewksbury, MA; her beloved grandchildren, Kailah Sanders, Jake and Kelsey McDonald, Austin and Kayla McCaigue, Ava and Gia Ameigh. She also leaves behind a close family cousin Joseph Szymanski.
Lena cherished every moment spent with family and friends especially at gatherings throughout the years. She had a wide variety of talents and interests. She looked forward to new projects around the home along with decorating. She also found joy in gardening and planting. Her love for flowers and plants was apparent throughout her paintings and her appreciation for art was passed down for generations. Lena loved exploring the great outdoors, including kayaking on the lake or a day at the beach. She also enjoyed going to zoos and farms and being around animals. Her home always had at least one cat and an occasional rabbit, turtle, bird, duck, chicken or cow.
Calling hours are Saturday, March 28th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a brief ceremony at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to M.S.P.C.A-Nevins Farm at www.mspca.org
