Billie Dean Willis Setters, 85, of Tifton passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Legacy Village in Tifton. A private family graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Setters at a later date Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Setters’ grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Born August 26, 1940, in Tifton, Mrs. Setters was the daughter of the late G. H. “Doc” Willis and Essie Mae Pritchard Willis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Setters, Sr.; one brother, Barney Harrell Willis; and one sister, Bobbie Jean Willis Lightle. Before retiring, she was a bank teller for Bank of America; and she was a lifetime resident of Tifton. She was an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kelltown for over 60 years. She loved traveling with her husband and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Working in the yard was one of her favorite hobbies.
Mrs. Setters leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son and daughter-in-law, J. Robert Jr. and Tracey Setters of Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna Leigh and Hunt Sanders of Tifton and Valerie Lynn and Jeff Footh of South Dakota; ten grandchildren, Landon Connerton, Tricia Connerton Fielding, Sean Footh, Jonathon Cook and his wife Micky Lynn, Kristy Walker and her husband Hal, Molly Kirkland, Hunt Sanders III, Walt Sanders, Turner Sanders and Sophie Sanders; and six great-grandchildren, Charlotte Cook, Casey Cook, Madelyn Cook, Stormy Fielding, Luna Connerton and Braxtyn Tyson.
