
Brenda Langdale Lupo, 65, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Friday, March 20, 2026, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday, March 23, 2026, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Brent Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Sunday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald. All local funeral directors and funeral home staff members will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Lupo was born July 23, 1960, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to Joyce Nelms Smith of Fitzgerald and the late Fred Edward Langdale. She attended Ben Hill-Irwin Tech and had a long career in clerical and office management. She managed Woodland Apartments and worked in the office for H.R. Kaminsky & Sons. She later managed shipping and receiving for SWS Garments for many years. Mrs. Lupo had a passion for the funeral service industry, particularly in helping families craft lasting monuments to their loved ones. She proudly served Ben Hill and Irwin counties and the surrounding areas, with the utmost care, compassion, and respect, for many years working with Bailey Monument & Vault Company and Ward Monument Company for the past 20 plus years.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Mickey Lupo of Irwin County; children and their spouses: Amanda & Bill Barrs of Ocilla, Michelle & Brent Griffin of Blakley and Magan & Justin Newell of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Abby & Peyton Martin, Shelby Griffin, Raegan Griffin, Brentley Griffin, Emalea Newell, Bristol Barrs and Hadlea Newell; a brother, Fred E. “Freddy” Langdale, Jr. & Connie of Irwin County; and step-mother, Pat Langdale of Cochran. In addition to her father, Fred Edward Langdale, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pam Langdale Taibi; her step-father, William J. “Bill” Smith, Jr.; and father & mother-in-law, Carlton & Barbara Ann Lupo.
