Mary Margaret Morehouse Rogers
Hillsborough -- Mary Margaret Morehouse Rogers, 64, passed away peacefully at home on March 18, 2026, following a short but valiant battle with cancer. She was born on July 15, 1961, the daughter of Raymond and Margaret Mary (McCarthy) Morehouse of Dorchester, MA. Mary graduated from Saint Peter’s Elementary School and then from Saint Gregory’s High School, Class of 1979. Born and bred in Dorchester, Mary was a fiercely proud Bostonian, Irish Catholic, and daughter of a Boston firefighter. She was a devout parishioner of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Dorchester.
In 1990, Mary moved to Londonderry, New Hampshire and it was there that she became a mother to her four children, Brian, Daniel, Caroline and William. She was a dedicated member of the local Welcome Wagon Club in Londonderry, where she made many lifelong friends. Mary also spent many hours volunteering at St Mark’s Catholic Church in several different capacities. Mary’s deep faith guided her daily activities and this faith remained with her throughout the rest of her life. Her parish was especially supportive during William’s passing, for which she was forever grateful. Mary was also heavily involved in her children’s extracurricular activities and would be found on the sideline of many sporting and music events.
In 2017, Mary married David Rogers and they relocated to Hillsborough, NH. Mary's generous heart led her to be an active member of her community by volunteering and supporting multiple charitable groups. She was a devoted member and three-term president of the Hillsborough Lions Club and she was annually involved with Hillsborough’s Operation Christmas where she portrayed Santa or Mrs. Claus during pick-up day, distributing toys and gifts to many families in need. Mary played many roles at the Lake Winnipesaukee Playhouse, alongside her husband Dave. Mary was extraordinarily proud to be a realtor for Verani Realty in the Concord, NH office. She was at her finest when she was assisting those who were seeking homes in which to raise their families. Her outgoing nature made her a great fit as a realtor, not only in sales but as a caring co-worker. Mary found this job to be a calling and a hobby that allowed her to touch many lives.
Mary left a sparkle wherever she went, whether it be through her (in)famous stash of confetti that populated every card for every holiday season, her sequined heels, but especially through the overall light and laughter she brought to any gathering. She was the loudest cheerleader for any New England team and an avid Rod Stewart fan for more than fifty years.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Margaret (Peg) Morehouse; her aunt, Alice Patterson; her sister, Carole Piekos; her brother, Eddie Morehouse; and her beloved young son, William Raymond Estabrook.
She is survived by her husband, David (Dave); her sons, Brian Estabrook and his wife Eileen O’Hara; Daniel Estabrook and his partner Margeaux Miller; her daughter, Caroline Estabrook and her partner Daniel Sherburne; her sisters, Janet Parmiter and her husband Bruce; Ellen Benthal and her husband Dan; and her brother-in-law William (Billy) Piekos; and her lifelong, dearest friend, “sister from a different mother”, Charlotte Gillespie. Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews, innumerable friends, and her two cherished dogs, Bailey and Fanny.
Visiting hours will be held at Peabody Funeral Home, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH on Monday, March 23, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
