Frederick Brian Gwalthney, 54, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at his residence. There will be a gathering of family and friends at his residence on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. to celebrate his life.
Born March 31, 1971, in Fairbanks, Alaska, Mr. Gwalthney was the son of Fredrick Beaumont Gwalthney of Ephrata, Pennsylvania and Katherine Fox Hutchinson of Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from Lathrop High School in Fairbanks, Alaska and worked as a self-employed mechanic. He was also a licensed smog technician. He loved his dogs; and he loved gaming with his family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gwalthney is survived by his stepmother, Norma Lorenzo; his stepfather, Scott Hutchinson; his fiancé, Michele Massey; one brother, Benjamin Gwalthney of Sparks; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
