Thomas M. Martone, 80

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Thomas M. Martone, age 80, of Mansfield, passed away comfortably at home, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 12, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Judith A. (Contildes) Martone, to whom he was wed on September 6, 1969.

Born in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York on November 13, 1945, he was a loving son of the late Michael W. and Bertha (Rebello) Martone.

Tom grew up in the town of Somerset and was a 1963 graduate of Somerset High School. He began his working career at Grossman Lumber in Taunton and then at Mr. Lumber in Middleboro. In 1975 he went to work at the Franklin Home Supply in Franklin, which later became Franklin Lumber and which he became co-owner of in 2001.

Tom loved spending time with his adoring family and was a passionate car enthusiast, BMW’s being his favorite. He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed watching auto racing on TV, attending live races with his wife Judy and collecting watches. He had made his home in Norton since 1989 and formerly resided in Norton.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted children, Tracy M. Dolan and her husband Jeffrey of North Attleboro and Michael T. Martone and his wife Kathryn of Norton. He was the cherished and proud grandfather of Harrison and Reilly Dolan, James and Dylan Martone and the great grandfather of Ellie Dolan.

His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday, March 21st at 11:00 A.M in Saint Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton. Burial will be private.

Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Tom with a donation in his memory made to the National Kidney Foundation, 209 West Central Street, Natick, MA 01760.
