Michael J. Sullivan, Sr., 67

Michael J. Sullivan, Sr., age 67, of Norton and South Yarmouth, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. He was the beloved husband of Faith K. (Hipsley) Sullivan.
Born in Boston, MA on September 13, 1958, he was a loving son of the late John J. and Marion R. (Bernoskie) Sullivan.
Mike grew up in Dedham, was a 1976 graduate of Dedham High School and received his certification in auto repair. Michael’s love for family and loyalty to friends was equal to his passion for the automotive industry. For over thirty years, he was the proud founder and operator of Mansfield Auto Specialties on South Main Street in Mansfield and had previously been employed as a mechanic for several other local car dealerships.
An Avid NASCAR enthusiast, Mike loved building and driving Hot Rods and enjoyed the hobby of building model cars as well. Another favorite and special time for Michael was spending time at the beach on Cape Cod and he’ll always be remembered for the meticulous manner in which he maintained his yard in Norton, where he resided for thirty-six years.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted children, Michael J. Sullivan, Jr. and his wife Beth of Assonet, Christine M. Sullivan and her wife Laura Comeau of Fremont, New Hampshire, Jerica L. Sullivan of Norton and Annmarie Sullivan of Massachusetts. He was the cherished grandfather of Nicholas Clegg and his wife Candace of California, Kaedyn Sullivan of Assonet, Mia Sullivan of Assonet and the great grandfather of Aspen Clegg and Emory Clegg. He was the dear brother of Peter Sullivan and his wife Janet of North Carolina, Maureen Gatto and her husband Jay of Uxbridge and the late Joanne Larkin, who is survived by her husband Peter Larkin of North Carolina. He was the much-loved brother-in-law of Helen Gould and her companion David Reynolds of West Yarmouth and is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews and his Yorkshire Terrier “Barney”.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, March 15th from 1:00-4:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Words of remembrance will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
