Brown of West Bridgewater formerly of Dorchester, Sept. 12, 2006, D. Rita (Leaman) Brown 86 years. Wife of James A. Brown. Mother of James T. Brown of N. Reading; Thomas P. Brown of Quincy; Regina A. Hirtle of E. Bridgewater; Robert J. Brown of Avon; Joseph F. Brown of Halifax and Dorothy M. Bilotas of Rockland. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, W. Bridgewater at 10 am. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Obituary

D. Rita (Leaman) Brown 86 years of West Bridgewater died Tuesday morning at her home surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was the wife for 64 years of James A. Brown. Born, raised and educated in Dorchester she was the daughter of the late Walter H. and Mary E. (Shine) Leaman. For the past 24 years she had been a resident of West Bridgewater but her heart always remained in Dorchester.
Mrs. Brown was primarily a homemaker who stayed home to raise her large family. She enjoyed singing and participating in community shows and was always the life of the party. She also loved to cook and bake.
Mrs. Brown had been a communicant of St. Ann Church and when living in Dorchester attended St. Ambrose Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her six children James T. Brown of N. Reading; Thomas P. Brown of Quincy; Regina A. Hirtle of E. Bridgewater; Robert J. Brown of Avon; Joseph F. Brown of Halifax and Dorothy M. Bilotas of Rockland. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Margaret Farrell
