Gaetano Patriarca, 93, of Smithfield, passed away peacefully on March 6.
Born to the late Gaetano and Rose Patriarca, he lived a long life marked by dedication to his family, his country, and his craft.
Gaetano proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. In recognition of his service, he was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
Following his military service, he built a long and respected career as a tool and die maker at Norton Safety, where he was known for his skill, precision, and strong work ethic.
Gaetano was predeceased by his beloved wife, Stella A. (Leoncavallo) Patriarca, who passed away in 1989.
He leaves behind his loving daughter, Gail Banas and her husband Gregory; and his cherished grandson, Graham.
Gaetano will be remembered for his quiet strength, devotion to his family, and the pride he took in both his work and his service to his country. His memory will be held close by those who knew and loved him.
