WARE, Deborah A. (Smith) of Wayland, formerly of Wellesley, passed away on March 8, 2026. Beloved wife of Robert Borden Ware for 62 years. Devoted mother of Susan L. Hartman and her husband Steven of Williston, VT., Karen L. Reid of Oxford, MA., Loving grandmother of Samuel, Jessica, Erin, Caitlyn. Sister of Natalie Kase of Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., Jay Smith of Beverly, MA.,
Deborah was an artist for over 50 years. She was also a retired 2nd grade school teacher.
Visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 477 Washington St. (Rt. 16) Wellesley on Thursday, March 12th from 5-7pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, March 13th at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment North Cemetery, Wayland. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Deborah’s memory to the Home For Little Wanderers 72 E. Dedham St. Boston, MA 02118.
