
Charles “Charlie” Crowley, 77, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born and raised in Mattapan, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Patrick and Gertrude (Hayes) Crowley. Charlie later made his home in Quincy, where he lived for more than 30 years.
Charlie was known for his quick wit, playful sense of humor, and a laugh that could fill a room. He had a gift for making people smile and never took life too seriously. He also loved the ocean and cherished time spent fishing.
Above all else, Charlie was devoted to his family and shared a 45-year marriage with his beloved wife, Martha Crowley, the love of his life.
He is survived by his children, Elizabeth Kennedy Kangos and her husband Doug of Hingham, and Sean Crowley and his wife Jessica of Weymouth; his grandchildren Jackson and Ryan Kennedy, and Evelyn and Harry Crowley; his sisters Joanne Smith and her husband Kevin, and Kathy Ellard; his late brother Patrick Crowley and many nieces and nephews.
Charlie will be remembered for his humor, his warmth, his deep love for his family, and his incredibly strong handshake.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
