Obituary

Worcester – Jeannine (Emond) Corrigan, 85, of Worcester, passed away peacefully in Saint Vincent Hospital on Saturday, March 7, 2026 after a brief illness.

Jeannine was married for 61 years to the late Edward R. Corrigan, who died in 2021. Jeannine leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including, Barbara and Mark Senior, Gail and Peter Totas, Debbie and Paul Abasciano, Cindy Greene, Donna and Roland Aucoin, Eddie and Deborah Emond and Paula and William D’Onofrio.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Theophile and Irene (Campeau) Emond and is also predeceased by a brother, Paul Emond; a sister, Pauline Piscitelli and two nieces, Maryanne Copeland and Tammy Murphy.

Jeannine worked for many years at both Goretti’s Supermarket and also at Papercraft. In addition to her work she was also a dedicated parishioner at Sacred heart – Saint Catherine of Sweden Parish where she volunteered for many years as the sacristan.

In addition to volunteering as sacristan, she also volunteered as a greeter, bingo worker, eucharistic minister and ran the coffee shop for 20 years which they eventually named after her in appreciation for her years of dedicated service. Along with all of her volunteering, she was also a long-time member of the Ladies’ Guild at Sacred Heart – St. Catherine of Sweden Church.

Jeannine enjoyed bowling and always looked forward to her weekly bowling league at the former Town and Country Bowling for over 30 years, trips to the casino and traveling with her husband.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 11 at 10:30 AM in Sacred Heart – St. Catherine of Sweden Church 600 Cambridge Street. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
