BERNARD, Thomas P., Lifelong resident of West Roxbury, passed away on March 4, 2026. Beloved son of the late Andrew J. Bernard Jr. and Helen M. (Nelligan) Bernard. Dear brother of Marion Fisher and her husband Duncan of Needham, Margaret Gilmore and her husband Joseph of Walpole, Helen Gaughran and her husband Barry of Walpole, Lisa Bernard of Norwood, and the late Andrew James Bernard III., Kevin Bernard, and Peter Bernard. Uncle of Sydney, Catherine, Miranda, Andrea, Caroline, Brett, Colin, Tommy, and Mark. Also survived by great nieces and nephews.
Thomas was a lifelong resident of West Roxbury and devoted member of St Theresa's Church community. Tom graduated from Boston Trade School, where he specialized in plumbing and earned a math medal for his achievements.
Tommy enjoyed most, spending time with his family and his lifelong friends from the West Roxbury community and beyond. He was a talented artist, an enthusiatic classic car lover and was never known to turn down a delicious meal. He enjoyed spending time outdoors in nature. Tom is known and loved for his quick wit and beautiful, kind heart. He was always willing to lend a hand to help those in need and he had a wonderful way of making all those who knew and loved him feel valued.
Visiting hours will be held at the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury on Wednesday, March 11th from 4-6pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, March 12th at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Theresa Church at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
