Maureen "Moe" (McKay) Hall, aged 90, passed away peacefully on March 3 at the Brightview Senior Living Home.
Born in Andover, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of the late Mary Ellen (Small) and William McKay and a graduate of Punchard High School in Andover. She was the wife for nearly 50 years of the late Kenneth Hall of Lowell and the mother of 4 children. She was predeceased by her son, Kenneth Hall II.
Maureen is survived by her children, Mary Ellen Teague (and husband, Larry), Christopher Hall (and wife, Jeannine), and Cheryl Amey (and husband, Robert); her two siblings, Marilyn Gillen of North Andover and William McKay of Rye, New Hampshire; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
She was a dedicated homemaker, a talented artist, a world traveler, and, most especially, a devoted dog lover. She often joked that while she might not remember your name, she would never forget your dog’s. Maureen welcomed many furry companions into her life over the years, all of which she adored, but the first dog she ever adopted held a very special place in her heart and will be forever remembered as her 5th child
She had a joyful spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. Her warmth, laughter, and lighthearted nature made her a friend to many. Though our hearts are heavy with her absence, we take comfort in knowing that Maureen lived a full life marked by love and laughter.
A very special thank you to everyone at Brightview Wellspring for the wonderful care they provided her these past few years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maureen’s memory to the Brightview Senior Living Staff Appreciation Fund.
