Chad F. Askew, 43

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Chad F. Askew, age 43, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly, as the result of an automobile accident, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.

Born in Stoughton, MA, he was the loving son of Shari (Carriuolo) Labossiere of Norton and the late Robert E. Askew, Sr.

Chad grew up and was educated in Mansfield. He was a self-employed plasterer and enjoyed working for various area contractors.

Chad’s greatest passion in life was music his love for family and his close circle of friends. His musical talents came straight from his soul and he was an accomplished bass guitar player. Chad always lived in the present and loved spending time in California. He was sensitive and kind and will always be remembered for his quick wit and non-judgmental mannerism.

In addition to his mother, he was the dear brother of Andrea O’Connor and her companion Alan Angus of Raynham, Marianne St. George and her companion Jimmy Cram of Holliston, Deanna Vicente of Worcester, Rob Askew, Jr. and his wife Sarah of Bloomington, Indiana, and the late Gina O’Leary. He was the adoring uncle of Bobby Askew, Teddy Askew and Gina’s children, Artie, Cait and Ben.

Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday, March 10th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th at 11:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date at the Furnace Village Cemetery in Easton.
