Obituary

WORCESTER: Kenneth S. Bishop,93, formerly of 150 Apricot St., Worcester died
Tuesday, Sept. 12 at University Commons in Worcester.
His wife of 51 years, Myrtle V. (Fray) Bishop died in 2005.
He leaves two daughters Susan M. Sulkoski and her husband Stephen of
Worcester and Joan L. Dube and her husband Perry of Leicester, a sister
E.Alice Jay of W.Brookfield, 10 grand children, and 4 great grand daughters,
nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a son Roger S. Bishop in 1999, his
first wife Laura (Dixon) Bishop in 1951, a brother Gordon "Red" Bishop and
two sisters Blanche Holmes and Thelma Deland.
Mr. Bishop was a foreman at the former Thompson Steel & Wire Co. in
Worcester where he worked for 43 years, retiring in 1977.
He was a member of Bethany Christian United Parish, 50 Year Member of the
Athleston Lodge of Masons, A.F. & A.M. and Alethia Groto. He was a life
member of the Tatnuck Island Club, and a longtime American Red Cross blood
donor. He enjoyed gardening.
Born in No.Brookfield, he was the son of Henry E. and Julia (Hayes) Bishop.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. in the
MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in
All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Thursday, Sept. 14 from 5
to 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Shriner's
Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, Ma. 01104 or Why Me &
Sherry's House, 1152 Pleasant St., Worcester, 01602.
