Jean Richard Revolus
February 8, 1968 - February 23, 2026
Jean Richard Revolus- known affectionately as Cha Cha- was born on February 8, 1968, in the town of Abricot, in Jérémie, Haïti. He was the youngest of fifteen children born to his parents, Lauriana Revolus and Andris Eugene. Memories of his childhood are filled with playing fútbol, fishing, and spending time with his siblings. As a youth, he discovered his love of music through artists like Francis Cabrel, Skah Shah, and Celine Dion. He also found joy in songwriting and the electric guitar, which became one of his lifelong creative pursuits.
In 1998, Jean and his wife, Yanick, welcomed their only child, Aisha, in Boston, Massachusetts. As a devoted father, he spent his time sharing his love of music, singing, and painting with his daughter, teaching her how to play the piano and his electric guitars. Jean was also a prolific artist and painted hundreds of works, and often gave them away to family, friends, and strangers. Despite his illnesses, he remained faithful to God and always expressed that, above all else, it is important to love and love deeply.
After many years battling cancer, Jean passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026.
Jean leaves behind his loving daughter Aisha and his wife Yanick.
