ATKINSON, NH – William H. Chadwick, Sr., age 91 died Monday September 11, 2006 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH.
Born and educated in Methuen, MA, he graduated from the Edward F. Searles High School with the Class of 1932. He also attended Cornell University studying horticulture. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. For more than 70 years he was the founder and worked at Sunny Side Nursery in Methuen, Rosemont Green Houses and Chadwick’s Green Houses in Haverhill.
He leaves his wife of 13 years, Phyllis M. Chadwick of Atkinson, NH.
2 daughters Julie A. Chester and her husband John of Atkinson, NH, Nancy K. DeLuca and her husband Dennis of Hampstead, NH.
1 son, William H. Chadwick, Jr., and his wife Paula of Stetson, ME
2 step children Donna Tine of Methuen and Christopher Willette of Lawrence.
1 sister Helen Randall of Fairfield, CT.
12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 17 nieces and nephews.
William was also the husband of the late Joan R. (Cormier) Chadwick.
ARRANGMENTS: Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30a.m. at St. Ann’s Church in Hampsted, NH. Burial will follow in the Atkinson Cemetery in Atkinson, NH.
