The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 10am
Patricia A. (Ellis) Cunningham, Pat to all who knew her, of Dedham formerly of South Boston, passed away peacefully at The Ellis Nursing Center on February 17, 2026.
She leaves behind her beloved children; Joey, Theresa, and Donna and their spouses Rita, Paul, and Bobby. She was blessed with three grandchildren Marcel, Bobby and Chris and three great grandchildren Samantha, Kyleigh and Jackson.
Pat was a city girl and spent most of her life in South Boston. For the past 10 years she resided in Dedham. Pat was a good friend of Bill W for 50 years. She was a woman of amazing faith and an inspiration to all who knew her. Pat is survived by her sister Marie Welch from Braintree and many nieces and nephews. She will be sorely missed and leaves behind a legacy of love.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St, Dedham on Sunday, Feb. 22 from 3-6pm. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 10am (accessible parking in the rear of the church). Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Newton Cemetery.
