Alfredo “Fredy” Luis Gomes Alves (23) of Brockton passed away unexpectedly on February 16th as a result of injuries sustained by an automobile accident.
Born in Mosteiros, Fogo, Cabo Verde, he was the beloved son of Alfredo Alves and Sonia Gomes. Fredy was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Parish. He enjoyed playing sports and spending time socializing with family and friends. Above all, he deeply loved his son, Kacey. Fredy was known for his kind, gentle, and quiet personality, and for the warmth he brought to those around him.
In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his cherished son, Kacey Alves; six siblings, Roberto, Keila, Giovanni, Kayden, Pedrinho, and Eliel; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street, Brockton, Tuesday February 24th from 5:00–8:00 PM.
A Viewing will take place at the funeral home Wednesday February 25th at 9:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 East Main Street, Brockton, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow by horse and carriage procession to Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl Street, Brockton.
A Repass will follow immediately after the burial at the Church.
