McDONNELL Mary Longtime resident of Deutsches Altenheim, German Home, West Roxbury, where she developed close friendships with residents and staff, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026. Beloved daughter of the late John and Barbara (Naughton) McDonnell. Sister of Joseph McDonnell and his wife Lee of Dover, NH. Aunt of Elizabeth, Barbara, and Carolyn. Also survived by many dear cousins and friends.
Devoted member of Simon of Cyrene Society and also various prayer groups in the Archdiocese of Boston.
Visiting hours will be held at the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury on Thursday, February 19th from 3-6pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday, February 20th at 11am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Theresa of Avila Church, West Roxbury at 12Noon. Interment New Calvary Cemetery, Boston.
