Carolyn Sue Boaz

Carolyn Sue Boaz, 87, a longtime Anderson resident, passed away at Brickyard Health Care in Muncie on February 14, 2026 following an extended illness
She was born on February 14, 1939 in Anderson, the daughter of Neal F. and Emma Magdalene (Wray) McMillan. She was a 1957 graduate of Anderson High School and was employed for 30 years at the Finance Center of Ft. Benjamin Harrison. After retirement, Carolyn volunteered with the Anderson Public Library Literacy Program and was a member of the quilting guild at the library. She enjoyed playing euchre, reading, crocheting, and was an excellent cook and seamstress.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzy (Dale) Richardson; son, Brian Boaz; grandchildren Marc Wallace and Megan Wallace; great granddaughter, Grey Wallace; siblings, Ruth Davis, and Neal “Lucky” McMillan; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Mary Ann Lewis and Barbara Goodwin, and a full term stillborn daughter, Victoria Lee Boaz.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Literacy Program at the Anderson Public Library.
