Mary Amicangelo, known lovingly as Mrs. A, Aunty Mary, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, and most recently, Great-Great-Grandma, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of February 11, 2026, at the remarkable age of 102.
To all who knew her, Mary was the definition of love. Her home and her heart were always open. Her smile lit up every room, and her laughter and good humor were contagious. Generations of people who crossed her path walked away feeling lighter, happier, and more loved than before they met her.
Mary loved to sing, and her family will forever cherish her joyful rendition of “Partridge in a Pear Tree” and the delight she took in being the center of her family’s attention. Whenever she had the chance, Mary would sing and dance, and her love of music lives on in the memories of all who knew her.
Mary also loved to cook, and the kitchen was her favorite room in the house. She was happiest when feeding the people she loved, singing as she cooked, and filling her home with warmth, food, and joy.
Mary was married to her beloved husband, Dante, for 67 years. Together, they raised seven children: Janet, Tom, the late Nancy, Debby, Steve, Paul, John, and Joe. She was a proud grandmother to Tommy, Billy, Nancy, Loribeth, Jill, Paul, Nicole, Thomas, Annalisa, John, Jack, and Lisa; a great-grandmother to Brigitte, Tommy III, Dante, Cole, William, Brynn, Cara, Jocelyn, Jordyn, Devin, Sofia, Lily, Olivia, Noah, Lyla, Claire, Paul III, James, Ada, Alden, Cece, Ellie, Ben, Izzy and a great-great-grandmother to Thomas IV in 2025.
Mary Amicangelo lived a life full of love; love she shared freely and love she inspired in everyone around her. She will forever be remembered as the smile in our eyes and the song in our hearts.
