
Chester L. Casey Jr.
April 5, 1953- February 7, 2026
It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Chester L. Casey Jr., known by family and friends as "Casey", "Chet", or "Irish". He was a man of profound kindness, humor, generosity and Patriotism.
Chet passed away at Lawrence general Hospital on Saturday, February 7th at 1:30 AM due to complications of Pneumonia.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts to Chester L. Casey and Mary Perkins Casey, he attended Hull High School before proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps, Army, and Coast Guard.
He then attended Northeastern University where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering and went on to work for Raytheon. A career change took him into the Auto Industry as a Finance manager, after which he retired in 2009.
Chet enjoyed Fishing, Golf, and the Casino, especially the Black Jack and Roulette Tables!
Chet is survived by his loving wife Ruthann Tanner, daughter Alicia L. Dewey and her husband Jason D. Dewey, His son Shawn M.Casey and his partner Lauren Breslin, his step son Daniel T. Tanner and his partner Therese Iacono, his grandchildren, Jake Dewey, Sara J. Dewey, and Emily A. Dewey. Also survived by Casey's best friend and brother Richard Barbetta and his wife Leslie, sisters Colleen J. Benoit, Denise E. Tierney and her husband Toby Tierney, Kathleen M. Crivello and her husband Robert Crivello, Robin L Velazquez and her husband Troy Velazquez, his brothers , Kevin M. Casey and his wife Carol, and Micheal F. Casey.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 8, 2026 at 2 PM at the Haverhill Country Club, 58 Brickett Lane, Haverhill, Ma. 01830.
