Timothy Robert McDonald, aged 68, passed away unexpectedly on February 9, 2026.
He is predeceased by his parents Edmund F. & Ursula F. ( O’Brien) McDonald, his eldest brother, Brien T. McDonald and his sister-in-law Lisa Caputo-McDonald. He leaves behind his youngest brother Thomas F. McDonald and his partner Robbin Marsland.
Timothy was a graduate of LaSalle Academy where he played hockey and lacrosse and attended college at the University of Rhode Island. He was a property claims adjuster for over 48 years. Timothy was business partners with Thomas in the insurance adjusting firm of McDonald Adjustment Company, Inc. Along the way engaged with many business associates who eventually became lifelong dear friends.
Tim spent the majority of his life residing in Narragansett and he enjoyed hosting cookouts at his family property, where you were guaranteed, he'd always have a big smile and jokes to amuse his guests with.
He enjoyed all sports, especially time with friends at the games or at the local hot spots cheering for all the New England teams. Over the course of his life, he enjoyed and became an exceptional golfer.
In addition to his surviving immediate family members, he leaves behind his Aunt Gena and numerous cousins and close friends that touched his life in so many impactful ways. Special thanks to his dear friend John Kieper who assisted Timmy greatly during his successful fight against cancer.
At his request he will be cremated, and a Memorial Mass will be held in his memory on Saturday 2/14/2026 at 11:30 am in St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church at 864 Point Judith Road Narragansett, RI.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the disabled American Veterans Association and or St Jude’s Children's Hospital.
