Obituary

Rose E. (Prusky) Freedman, a resident of Everett for over 44 years, passed away on September 10, 2006 at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford. She was 71 years old.

Born in Chelsea, the daughter of the late Hyman and Rose (Karsh) Prusky, Mrs. Freedman was raised and educated in Lynn. After graduating from Lynn High School she went on to study and graduate from the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial Business School in Boston. Mrs. Freedman was employed as the executive secretary for New England Financial Planning. She was a member of Congregation Tifereth Israel of Everett and its Sisterhood, Hadassah, and the Stage One Theatre Group of Everett.

Mrs. Freedman is survived by her beloved husband, Paul N. Freedman of Everett; her children, Marcia F. Delatizky and her husband Bennett of Medford, Bennett Freedman and his wife Mary of Everett, and Joel F. Freedman and his wife Lori of Winchester; her grandchildren, Dori-Ann, Bradley, Hannah, Alyssa, and Daniel; and her brother and sister-in-law, Burton and Phyllis Prusky of Maryland.

Mrs. Freedman’s funeral service will be held in Temple Shalom of Medford, 475 Winthrop Street, Medford on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Rabbi Braham David will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Tifereth Israel of Everett Cemetery, Fuller Street, Everett. Memorial observance will be held at her late residence through Friday at sundown. Those wishing to remember Mrs. Freedman may do so through memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 9 Riverside Road, Weston, MA 02493. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of the Torf Funeral Chapel, serving the Jewish community for over 70 years.
