Allen D. Shields

Allen D. Shields, 70, of Anderson passed away suddenly on February 9, 2026.
He was born on June 25, 1955 in Anderson, IN to the late Donald Lee and Beatrice (Bailey) Shields. He was a graduate of Anderson High School and Anderson College where he earned his bachelor’s degree.
He was an optician in Anderson for over 40 years and retired after 10 years at My Eye Doctor in 2025.
He was a member of East Side Church of God. He loved all genres of music, comedy and was a sports fan. He enjoyed taking his naps.
He is survived by his son, Kyle Shields of Muncie; a sister, Donna (Danny) Piercy of Glasgow, Kentucky; a grandson, Cato Shields; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Beatrice Shields.
Funeral service will be at 4:00pm on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. Kerry Robinson officiating.
Visitation will be from 2:00pm-4:00pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
