STEEP FALLS- David Richard Crockett, 75, of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on February 07, 2026 in his home of Steep Falls Maine, surrounded by his loving family.
David was a devoted husband, father, and public servant. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years Jeanne Crockett, and his children: Patrick (Laura) Crockett, Danielle (Neil) Allen, and Jack Crockett; his sister , Patricia: and his seven grandchildren: Colin, Aidan, Mia, Charlie, Wyatt, Lily, and Axel. His family was the greatest pride of his life, and he spoke of them often and with deep love.
David honorably served his country in the United States Army, including service in Korea. Following his military service, he dedicated over thirty years of service with the United States Postal Service, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment.
Of all his accomplishments, David was most proud of his family. They were the center of his life, and his love, guidance, and values will live on through them.
A service at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Springvale ME will be held at 1000hrs on Feb 20th. Following the service there will be a gathering at the VFW in Sanford.
