
Earl Munroe Bowie Jr., 80, of Brockton, passed away on February 8th at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the loving husband of Mary (Brown) Bowie of Brockton.
Born in Weymouth, he was the son of the late Earl Munroe Bowie Sr. and Hazel (Pierce) Bowie. Earl proudly served his country for more than 20 years as a member of the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army. Following his military service, he continued serving his community as a police officer in Randolph and Abington. He also worked in construction for several years.
In addition to his beloved wife Mary, he is survived by his son, Earl Munroe Bowie III; his daughters, Danielle Blea and Nichole Ernst and her husband Daniel; seven grandchildren, Cody, Jasmine, Richard, Jack, Seth, Lucien, and Victoria; and his great-granddaughter, Ryleigh. He was also the father of the late Scott Bowie.
Following Cremation, a Memorial Service will be held at the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street, Brockton, on Thursday, February 19th, from 5:00–8:00 p.m.
Interment of his cremated remains will take place later in the spring at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
