Donald E. Lyons, 84, of Springfield, MA, passed away on February 3rd, 2026.
He was born in Springfield August 12, 1941 to Cornelius and Florence (Ethier) Lyons, and was a proud Hungry Hill resident for many years. Don is a graduate of Cathedral High School. He was a taxi driver for many years, and as a Yankees and Giants fan, was known to always be watching baseball or football.
Don was preceded by his son Steven M. Lyons, his parents and his 5 siblings. He is survived by his daughter Janet Lyons and his grandchildren Craig Coolbeth; Megan Coolbeth and her husband Corey Guyette.
He will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center.
