
Frances Marie (Graffeo) Longo, age 91, of Medford passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7th with her family by her side. Raised and educated in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Alphonso and Frances (Molea) Graffeo. After finishing school, Frances married and moved to Medford, and was employed as a bookkeeper but always a mom first. She had a passion for travel and would pack a bag and go anywhere at anytime and loved visiting Aruba. Holidays with children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all family were Frances’ most favorite times, especially Christmas Eve. Her friends were of great importance to her as well, and she thoroughly enjoyed their regular card games, dinners out or in the latter years reminiscing of days gone by and cherished times spent together.
Frances was the devoted mother of Theresa Pietrolungo and her husband Ivo of Medford, Salvatore Longo of Medford and his late wife Cindy, Alfred Longo of Malden and his Fiancée Lori Simas, and Louis Longo and his wife Tracy of Pelham, NH. She was the loving grandmother of Karla, Anthony and his Fiancée Eleni, Brooke and her Fiancée Cristianne, Trevor and Tyler, and the great grandmother of Domenic, Alexa and Cameron. Frances was predeceased by her former husband Louis J. Longo. She was the sister of Michael Graffeo and his wife Mary of Arizona, Anthony Graffeo and his wife Linda of Plymouth, MA and his late wife Marilyn, and the late Anna Del Buono and her surviving husband James of Florida. She was the cherished aunt of Alfred, Michael, Amy, Ann, Brian, Michael and Andrea and so many other nieces and nephews that called her Auntie.
Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, February 16th from 4 to 8 PM, and again on Tuesday, February 17th at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
