Kathleen M. Woods, of Newton, MA, formerly of Quincy and Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 5, 2026. Born June 9, 1942 in Quincy, Ma to the late Thomas and Helen (Ward) Woods. Kathleen’s life was a testament of love and dedication to her family. She is survived by her devoted sister Elinor Woods of Newton, Ma. Predeceased by her brother Rev. James A. Woods, SJ of Boston College and her sister Ann Dunn. She is also, survived by nephews Thomas Dunn (wife Eileen) of Hingham and Christopher Dunn (wife Nancy) of Hanover as well of nieces Diane Landall (husband Erik) and Maryann Sterin (husband Jay) and many grand nephews and nieces as well as great grand nephews and niece. Kathleen graduated from Archbishop Williams Class of 1960, Boston College, and Babson College MBA program. She had a long successful career at New England Telephone and later at H&R Block Digital. Her life centered around her family, hosting countless family gatherings. She cherished her summers by the beach in Falmouth. Kathleen was a selfless person, her life was built on service to others. She loved everything Boston College, especially BC Football and The Woods College of Advancing Studies. She was a joyful light to be around and had many great lifelong friends. Her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor & laughter will be sorely missed. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Ignatius Church, 28 Commonwealth Ave, Newton on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 10am. Burial will be private.
